Here at Hanna's Dream we are committed to continuing to provide the purest organic clothing to our customers AND to assisting fellow like-minded businesses as they seek to survive in the current marketplace. Now, more than ever, we need to band together and stand side by side to continue offering natural, organic, and handmade products in the US.

The Consumer Protection Safety Information Act (CPSIA), due to take affect on February 10, 2009, was intended to protect our children from harmful chemicals found in children's products. Unfortunately, it has the potential to do the opposite, wiping out small businesses (retailers and manufacturers) who work hard to provide the purest, most natural toys and clothes to the children of our nation.

Screening for CPSIA Compliance: In an effort to support the small business community, our husband and wife team at Hanna's Dream has become trained to use an XRF scanner to detect lead in children's products. We are offering our screening services to other small businesses. This screening will allow small manufactureres to create general conformity certificates for their products, and it will allow us and others to legally sell their children's products for the time being. It is our hope that with continued clarification of the law, this method of screening will allow us to sell our products legally even beyond August 2009. The clarifications that have come through in the last week give us hope that organic and natural clothing will become the standard for the children's market in the months to come.
