Hanna's Dream is family owned and operated and find great joy in serving our extended family, our customers.

We have a dream to see organic, sustainable clothing become common place in America. It is better for the environment, better for the farmers, better for the people who make the clothing, and better for us.

There is currently a great deal of confusion in the green marketplace about the use of the words Fair Trade and fair labor. Both Fair Trade and fair labor provide a fair wage, safe and healthy work environments, and a workforce free from forced and child labor.  However, Fair Trade also includes building direct, long-term, and empowering relationships with economically and socially marginalized producers that live in developing countries, and supporting community development and cultural diversity.

Fair Trade certification is a bit more complicated with clothing than with chocolate or coffee. There is currently no Fair Trade certification specifically for the production or manufacture of garments. However, some of our manufacturers are on the leading edge of this process and have secured certifications for important components of their process, such as fabric and the actual labor which goes into the production of their garments. We will be watching as this process unfolds and more industry specific certifications become available, and will continue to seek out those brands that carry Fair Trade certification. In the meantime, we will continue to buy from companies who practice fair labor principles throughout their entire production process.

We try out all the clothing we sell and shop around for fun, fashionable, eco-friendly clothing that you will enjoy wearing. And, we think it is the best job in the world to serve our customers while making a small difference during the short time given us here on Earth.
